To Save A Life was awesome! Thanks a lot for promoting it
- Ian Lyndsay, Penn Trafford High School
I absolutely loved the movie.
It was realistic, and SO many students can relate and apply the lessons to our own schools! I loved the little instances of humor, and I want everyone to see this movie.
- Allison De La Torre, student, Franklin Regional SH
This movie was awesome... I'm definately buying the movie when it comes out on dvd. This movie touched my heart and made me think of the people that are still out there that need Christ! I hope to be used by Christ like in the movie. Another thing about the movie was that it was humerous, emotional, and true! I absolutely loved it!!! I cann't wait to show it to others!!!!
-Crystal Rose
Got in from seening the movie TO SAVE A LIFE! It was an awsome movie.... Loved it and a must see movie...
- Jessica Foresman, student, Franklin Regional SH
Very uplifting and inspirational movie! I was inspired by how Jake followed his heart, and even though he was confused at first, he knew that taking that step toward faith in Christ was right. His actions were brave as well as admirable. From Jake walking out of the party to sitting with the "outcasts" at lunch, to befriending the "wierd kid", and setting up the web site for other hurting teens...very commendable! Jake's willingness to sactifice his future to own up to his mistake was a true show of selflessness. My entire family enjoyed this movie, and I would recommend it for anyone.
- Sue McGuire, parent, Norwin Christian Church
22 of us went to see To Save a Life yesterday! The place was full so lots of people are hearing about it. Wonderful, powerful movie...my kids loved it!
- Debbie Ogden Tansimore, youth leader
This movie has a strong message for all of us about how we treat each other. Do we really care enough to create circles of strength for those who are left out? Are we willing to lose popularity for the sake of living the Gospel. Here is a story from just last week about a girl who couldn't take it any longer. This is just one reason why go see the movie , http://tinyurl.com/ycvuqm7 Girl,15, Reportedly Bullied Online Before Taking Her Life. For me the larger question is not so much what did I think of the movie but how will it change us to make a difference?
- Tom Beagan, CEO, The LOGOS Ministry
We all really enjoyed the movie (if that's the right word). Both the acting and the production were superior to any "Christian" movie I've seen to date. Certainly offered many challenges! We're hoping that when it comes out on DVD that there will be lots o' resources available to use with the group.
- Steve Parsons, youth leader, Jeannette Alliance Church
I went to see the movie it was truly amazing a few parts of it reminded me of myself in ways. The movie showed me that no matter what jesus will be there.I think if everyone in the world would see it they would be touched by it also and start living for the lord. Its a great movie if they sell it on dvd im so buying it lol. GOD BLESS
- Matt
This was an amazing and eyeopening movie to me. After I saw it I started seeing all the people in my school who were outcasts. I'm sure that anyone who saw it would be changed because of it, even if they aren't Christian.
- Jonny Summers
I loved this movie! The thing that moved me most was the question I had to ask myself,"Do I show Christ's love, selflessness, and acceptance like Jake?" Sadly, not always, and not enough. Religion presses in to crush and kill the life and love of Jesus in me. This movie presented the real love of Christ. It challenges me to allow Christ to have more of me. And it encouraged me that there is always an answer in Christ and a second chance for my failures. Go see it this weekend if you haven't
- Lynne Miller, parent
To Save a Life was the most encouraging movie I have ever seen in my 21 yrs I've spent on the earth! I saw myself in almost every character and it helped me to realize that there are some quirks in my life that I need to change for God and for others. My favorite part of the movie? Well, I have two favorite parts: One, when Jake invited Johnny to join him at lunch; and two, when Jake prayed at his bed and asked God for direction in his life. Every person attending school (esp. junior high and high school) should see this movie. This movie would definitely change how people treat each other.
~Samantha, Uniontown
I thought this movie was absolutely outstanding. Not only does it portray the message of treating everybody with dignity as a child of God, but also Jake's life showed a great transformation. It showed how to put God first, others second, and ourselves last no matter the difficulties of life. I highly recommend this to everybody because we can always use a reminder of how everybody is someone Christ died for.
- Kiersten Beagan, senior, Franklin Regional High School
We loved it! The message was very powerful.
We all need to do our part to share the love of Christ and serve others rather than ourselves!
- Joy Hertlein, youth leader, First Baptist Church, Fairchance
This movie was so moving I don't know if I could pick a scene that I liked best. Jake was so courageous, what an example for us to follow. He truly stepped out in faith in front of his peers and he was just a seeker! The Holy Spirit grabbed his heart and he didn't ignore it. I loved when he said to the youth group, "What's the point of all of this if you won't let it change you?" My eyes welled up when he got baptized in the ocean, sat with his Christian friends at lunch, reached out to Jonny & ran to defend him when he was wrongly accused. I want to be the hands, mouth & feet of Jesus like Jake. A very inspirational movie. GO SEE IT!!!
- Lee Sirnic, parent, Cornerstone Ministries
The movie was GREAT. Our youth hroup loved it and it has sparked conversations already. I look forward to the next time we are together to really discuss it. I know we were all touched and moved by this awesome movie. Many years ago, I had a girl in my Sunday School Class that came for a few weeks. She drowned shortly after those few weeks of being in my class. I have always carried that "did I do my job as His disciple" during that short period of time that I spent with her? I "felt" that same feeling for Chris as he remembered what happened when Roger came to his youth group. A movie that can make you "feel" is a movie worth seeing! I encourage everyone to see it!!!
- Veronica Walskey, youth leader,
First Baptist Church of Connellsville
Thank you so much Travis for tirelessly working to bring this movie to our area. It was so excellent. I think I especially liked how it showed Jake dealing with various questions that most people have and also how it caused you to think about what a youth group and a church should really be like. Also, how important are the little things we do or don't do to make others feel like you care and that they matter.
- Karen Ryall, parent
the movie was great and what an impact i hope that the teens got something out of it and will use it in their life,
i mean it made me think.

- Ruth Bayura, youth leader at

It was awesome! It really made me think about my priorities. It makes me think about how sometimes I could be nicer to others, or the not so "cool" kids. It really has a great message. Everyone needs to see it!"
- Ethan Greek, Derry High School
OMGOSH it was THE BEST movie ever it got to the point and was life changing i think it really opens peoples eyes to the problems us teenagers face everyday!!! - Pamela Ramos, student, Turkeyfoot High School
I had SUCH a great time at the movie to Save a Life. I loved every part of it, and it reminded me of my school. Go sit with someone alone at lunch tomorrow, or say hi passing someone that you don't normally talk to at school in the hallway. You never know. It just might save a life.
Jenna Frazee
What an amazing movie! I wish we would have had something like this back when I was in school! Everyone seriously needs to see this! And for those of us who already did... I hope we'll all let this change us!

- Mike Beachy, youth leader,
New Life Covenant Church of God, Markleysburg
A great movie. I took 2 twelve year olds - it may have been a bit much for them, introduced things they haven't yet thought existed. But, they enjoyed it and we had a really great talk afterward. I, personally, thought the movie was great. Very well done and hit on just about everything that hits teens. Plus it gives them a solution.
- Chris Nease, youth leader,
Covenant East Church, Greensburg
To Save A Life really made me sit there and think. Is that what I do? Just walk by people that I could be helping everyday. All the people faking Is that what Christianity is getting to be? People faking it. Playing the church. And when the cutting scene came up with Jonny I was fighting the tears. Along with the pregnancy scene with Amy. I have cut before. If I know that there was one person out there that cared like Jake cared I probably wouldn’t have done it. My friend invited me to church and it changed me. For a little while. Like last year I really fell away and I ended up thinking I was pregnant like Amy but I'm not. I found out one of my friends are. That movie made me think about my life and how easily I could change someone else’s. To stop them from feeling empty, lonely, invisible. It made me think "Am I one of those kids that if Todd would ask for 30 seconds of silence would I be talking?" "Would I be Jake and have enough strength to just throw away all my friends and start brand new?" "Could I be able to Save A Life like Jake did?" "Am I be one of the kids that are faking and trying to foul everyone?" It really made me think all night. It like took a mask off or something. instead of being like "This kid is faking or this kid is." what about the one whose saying that. So how do we know if they aren’t faking. We have to fix ourselves before we can fix the world. They would be judging those people. I feel judged sometimes at my own church. Not just by the kids but by the adults too. It drives me crazy that I feel that way. I love being at church. Its like my second home but not now with the feeling of judgment coming from people who are supposed to be like family to me really sucks. Whoever sees this movie it will open your eyes. Its amazing movie for all ages. Honestly if it goes on DVD its mine :). But serious this movie will change your life in so many more ways then one. It changed mine in so many ways.
- Teri Lewis, Connellsville Senior High School
Movie was AWESOME. The teens LOVED it!
- Veronica Walskey, youth leader, First Baptist Church
Wow..very good. The water baptism in the ocean, the rebirth. I hope teens begin "see" others.
- Melissa Rios Lopez, youth leader,

- Jenna
I saw the movie this past weekend and i was blown away by it. this is the 2nd time i saw it and its even better. it moved me to tears! I belive that this is a awesome witnessing tool and will be able to help many teens!! i believe everyone young and old should see it! i took my friend to see it and he was also moved by the movie. i think the best part in that movie is when he stands up in front of the youth group swears and then "tells it like it is" he is taking a bold step for christ there. i am so glad to hear that the movie theatre in greensburgh is agreeing to keep it running for the remainder of this week!
- Matt Wetzel, Southmoreland High School
Wow...that movie was great! it really hit the real issues going on with kids and made me think about what im doing or not doing...im so glad i got to see it!! it really showed that its not about religion at all! its about relationships and sharing god's love! great movie!!!
- Becky Hallwirth, Kiski High School graduate

"YES! Everyone MUST see this movie. My favorite part was "Jake" saying, "if you're not going to let this change you, why are you here".... It is very inspiring for Youth Leaders! Go watch it!"
- Liz Keslar, youth leader, Indian Head Church of God
I went to see the movie today and i loved it!!! It was a lot sadder than i thought it was going to be and i cried a lot. haha. it was great though. i feel like the biggest thing i was reminded of was not to judge others. It's not about how people look in our eyes, it's how they look in God's eyes. And that there isn't anything that can set us higher than any other person in the world, we are all sinners and need God's mercy to have salvation. And even though i'm not in high school anymore, that i'm in college, i feel like i need to reach out to other people and be more of an example. i want to be that living sacrifice that stands out to my friends and the people i pass in the hallway. And i hope that if i ever find someone like Rodger that i can save him and steer him clear of suicide and close to God to prevent another awful suicide. I loved all the parts in the movie that took place in Chris' youth group. I loved the activities especially the coke contest with the dirty socks even though it's disgusting haha. and i really loved Jake's speech where he was fed up with all the people being disrespectful to Chris. It takes a lot to stand up to your peers and that was awesome for him to be an outsider and have enough strength to say that. Overall, it was truly a great inspirational movie that is reminding me to not judge and to reach out to others and let being a christian change me. I would definitely recommend the movie to my friends!!! i talked about it all week and some said it sounded good. Thanks for telling me about the movie!!! I was truly blessed by seeing it and i can't thank you enough. =]
- Tracey Hilty, Kiski High School graduate
It was really really good..... says my five friends and i.. we loved the date with jonny where he dropped the icecream and started eating it agian... when jake says that he isnt ready to be a mom was hilarious. if it comes out on dvd i'm buying it!!!
- Erin Fulton, Penn Trafford High School
i would definitly tell everybody to go see it.
it was an awesome movie. deals with real life high school stuff. if i had to pick my favrite part of movie it def be the part where jake save's johnny and one thing i wanna say is this is real high school stuff that happens everyday day. and its are job as christains to make that step and talk to someone like johnny and talk to them about GOD and his awesome love for all of us and to be their if that person needs someone to talk to just great movie
- Jason Chalfant, Christian Life Assembly of God, Melcroft
i really like this movie my favorite part was when jake was in the church and he flipped out cuz nobody would do what the youth pastor was saying that really got too me it was like a reality check and when his life started falling apart he went too god about and i think god spoke too me by like the hole movie cuz u could loose some 1 who was realy close too u and even though it was jake that shot rodger he had an influence cuz maybe rodger wouldnt have killed him self if jake would have benn there for him instead of going too wild parties with his girl friend
- Sarah Gabrielle Mishler, Connellsville Senior High
Was really inspiring and opened my eyes. Great movie!!
- Josh Hershberger, WCCC
One of the best movies that I've seen.
- Lance Lyons, Frazier High School
I just got back from the movie and am going again tomorrow with the VYN. Still haven't quite found the words to describe it, but for all of you still trying to decide whether or not you wanna go, here's what I posted on the To Save a Life page...This movie was INCREDIBLY done and I loved it. When I was a freshman in high school my life was ... See Moreturned around after a similar tragic situation. I've never understood why no one else seemed to let it affect them when it's changed my life in such huge ways. I'm 21 now, and I'm so excited for kids to have the chance to learn those tough lessons from a movie instead of firsthand. This movie painted such an awesome picture and also gave great perspective on questions of God by just saying "I don't know why he let's this happen, but he's with you". Awesome, awesome. The second I walked out of the theater I noticed people in a different way. Thank you SO much for spreading the truth and starting a movement.
- Noel McLeary, Ligonier Senior High Graduate
I thought this movie was very accurate with what is going on in the world today with teens and people in general. It takes a new approach to "christian" movies and shows the good and the bad. So many times I think people try to cover up all the bad things that Christians really deal with, but this movie really showed the reality. The message of showing God's love and being genuine with God no matter what was the part that stood out to me the most! It made me think of myself and how I could change, which I really needed. Thank you to everyone who had a part in making this movie and bringing it to our theater!
- Joelle Miller, Hempfield graduate
it was amazing! it covered every aspect a teen can face. and shows that God is the way to get through it all! going to show to my youth group kids. i pray that God uses this movie to open up the peoples' eyes enough that they can see that this is the direction today's youth is turning, and they can either keep ignoring it, or stand up and face it and actually help these kids.
- Samantha Lee Curtis, WCCC
We saw it tonight as a family and thought it was excellent. Thank you Travis for posting this to let us know about the movie. Anyone who can possibly see it tomorrow do so.
- Tom Berkshire, parent, Uniontown
My favorite part of the movie was when the main character decided to take part in the lunch time gathering at school dispite what his friends thought of him. That takes a lot of courage. God showed me some holes in my life, that I can fill using his love, and use to show others what it is to have a relationship with Jesus. I would recomend this movie to everyone, young and old alike. I think everyone could walk away with something from this movie.
- David Smith
"To Save A Life" go see it now!!! You won't be sorry!!!
- Melissa Toomey, Penn State Fayette Campus Minister
Hey Travis. REALLY good flick yesterday. I don't know how anyone could come out of the theatre without being moved. Take care.
- Brett Lincoln, youth leader, Christian Center Belle Vernon
